The team at HTC Vive is looking for a Content Partnerships Manager to join the European office of Viveport within the Global VR Content Store team based in the United Kingdom.





The Role:

Viveport is looking for a Manager to help identify virtual reality experiences across the home, mobile, location-based and enterprise categories from the creator communities in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This is one of the most exciting times to be at the intersection of technology and content and it is the mission of the Viveport platform team to build a dynamic offering that reflects the aspirations and practical needs of its users as the industry evolves. We need someone in our UK office to monitor the VR innovation coming out of these regions and help source great games and apps for our PC and mobile VR platforms.

Your ability to clearly communicate the evolving Vive ecosystem and Viveport opportunities externally to developers across content categories is crucial. Your strengths lie in your capacity to listen to the various strategic and business goals and technical needs of the creator community. Viveport is a global distribution platform and your expertise in the EMEA creator community will be key in helping grow Viveport to best support the developers. This role is based in the UK, but reports into the Head of Content in the San Francisco office.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify key VR apps and games relevant for the Viveport PC-based and mobile platform and track key studios/brands developing for VR in EMEA
  • Manage the technical support for the onboarding of content submissions through the Viveport developer console and work with Taipei-based content operations team on publishing
  • Prepare calendar of content submissions/publishing for the Global Content and Marketing teams and support locally per the direction of the team leads
  • Prepare marketplace analysis and quarterly reports supporting global content strategy
  • Manage travel schedule and attend local meetups and regional conferences
  • Manage assigned expense budget within company guidelines

Person Specification


General Requirements:

  • BA/BSc required
  • 5+ years of content development, production or licensing work experience required from video game, television, studio, consulting or technology sectors
  • Passion for virtual reality and working knowledge of VR technology and tools
  • Ability to communicate technical specs and analyse business analytics
  • Possesses an existing network of content creators and developers or proven ability to navigate content and developer ecosystem
  • An avid consumer of content across traditional, digital and social
  • A strategic and entrepreneurial thinker with an ability to manage and process detailed information while keeping perspective on the bigger picture
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to cultivate internal and external relationships
  • Ability to think, plan and execute resourcefully, across multiple tasks, with minimal supervision and change direction frequently with excellent project and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must
