  • Overview

    Reporting to the Head of Engineering Europe, this role will have a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience and will focus on leading technical support for developers in Europe. You will act as the technical liaison between internal teams and third-party developers, helping to provide access to education, tools and resources that enable them to create software and applications across Vive hardware and platforms in all content verticals. You will become a subject matter expert on all relevant development topics to drive the creation of innovative experiences and high-quality content through the developer community.


    • Act as the technical liaison between internal teams and third-party developers.
    • Represent developer requirements to help guide our platform product roadmap.
    • Engage with product and engineering teams to improve our tools and processes.
    • Create developer facing guides, tutorials, sample code, and documentation.
    • Support developers with SDK integration, code assistance, and porting.
    • Contribute regularly to the Developer Blog and Community Forums.
    • Support the distribution of new hardware, SDK’s, tools and development kits to developers and manage feedback
    • Host internal training sessions and technical briefings as required
    • Deliver technical talks at events including developer meetups and webinars

    Person Specification

    Skills, Abilities, Experience:

    • Over 3 years of experience as a developer with a focus on XR and mobile technologies
    • Degree in computer science /programming or similar
    • Programming experience with content engine technology (e.g. Unity, Unreal, in-house)
    • Programming experience with C# or C++ coding for 3D graphics
    • Understanding of 3D graphics rendering pipelines
    • Experience in profiling and performance optimization of applications
    • Understanding of developer segmentation and ecosystem and how to effectively engage with and support leading content creators
    • Active member in developer user groups and engagement with groups driving development efforts
    • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of your time including to partner sites, as well as to events with significant developer audiences.
