  • Overview

    The AVP Marketing for HTC Vive EMEA is key member of the EMEA Leadership Team reporting into the GM EMEA. They are responsible for driving the planning, creation and implementation of integrated marketing programmes for HTC Vive products across all active EMEA markets. They will lead and develop a multi-disciplined and cross-functional marketing and PR team who will deliver engaging and effective brand, product and promotional campaigns & activations through direct and indirect channels - digital, social, CRM, PR, events, partnerships and supports multiple retailers. The role works closely with global teams ensuring global strategy is implemented locally as well as ensuring regional needs are met.

    Responsibilities

    • To devise an integrated HTC Vive marketing strategy across EMEA in line with the overall global strategy for all products and accessories among B2C/B2B audiences including :
      • Paid digital campaigns across the region to build awareness and drive quality traffic and sales through Vive.com and htc.com
      • EMEA social strategy and plan, in conjunction with the global social team and regional PR and marketing teams
      • Strategy and planning of EMEA experiential activities such as exhibition presence, demo strategy and branding
    • To work closely with relevant functions to ensure an integrated and co-ordinated plan e.g. Sales, retailers and partners, Viveport Marketing, PR, .com websites, global social and external partners
    • To own and deliver the e-commerce sales target and website journey, ensuring new features, pages and information are produced and implemented for EMEA
    • To work with Global functions e.g. Marketing, PR, Product, CRM to ensure EMEA needs are represented and delivered, and to ensure regional activities are fully aligned with a wider, global plan
    • To effectively allocate and manage the EMEA marketing and PR budget
    • To select and manage agencies and suppliers as and when needed
    • To ensure creative quality and consistency across all communications and activations
    • To ensure past results and learnings are incorporated into future programmes.
    • To produce regular reporting on campaign and activity results
    • To build, manage and develop a team of marketing and PR professionals

    Person Specification

    Skills and Experience:

    • 10+ years client-side marketing experience, ideally with some technology sector exposure
    • B2C and B2B marketing experience
    • 5+ years team management experience
    • 5+ years budget management experience
    • Digital and Ecommerce/website strategy and implementation 
    • Sound knowledge of digital platforms – especially Facebook, Google, Google Shopping and Amazon
    • Knowledge of building and owning CRM programmes – Marketo and Salesforce would be an advantage
    • Track record in developing and managing multi-channel integrated marketing programmes including PR, retail/channel marketing, events, digital, incentives and partnerships
    • Ability to demonstrate a strong commercial aptitude to exploit opportunities and to deliver efficient sales
    • Experience of running an international marketing function (especially EMEA) would be useful but not essential
    • Experience and competitive knowledge around VR products /gaming would be useful but not essential
    • Knowledge of an additional European language would be useful, but not essential
